Labour Qaumi Movement, Pakistan is progressive democratic and secular party representing the working class. Its aim is to end all forms of exploitation and to establish the rule of the working class over the state.
Pakistan being the state is subject to the serious economic, social and ideological contradiction, exploitation, poverty, intolerance, extremism and violence continue to intensity. Today class exploitation in various forms is continuously increasing. There are no imminent signs that labouring farmers, workers, professionals, women and religious minorities will be able to free from this system. It is very necessary and required to form a working class political party because the overwhelming majority of workers are forced to sell his power in informal sectors without any legal and social protection, they have no social security wages, jobs security and respectable working conditions.
The economic face of imperialism and capitalism in Pakistan is expressed in the form of policies and international agreements of global financial Institutions IMF and World Bank etc. which pave the way for privatization in the name of creating a free movement and monopoly of multinational companies.
Basic needs industries like electricity, oil, gas, transport communications and others are being dismantled and sold off at heavily underprice rates. The virus of religious fundamentalism has been severely permitted in our society. The national question has also concerned with political, economic and cultural deprivations. Labour Qoumi Movement (LQM) started its political work a decade ago in Faisalabad Division as a trade union of power loom workers, strove and struggled for industrial workers but it realized that without going into mainstream and power politics deprivation and exploitation of working class cannot be rendered so a pure working class party having leadership from workers of different industries decided to form Labour Qoumi Movement Pakistan as a working class political party with a motive “Prosperous Worker, Prosperous Farmer will form a Prosperous Pakistan”
